The Town of Andrews is in the process of updating its 2045 Comprehensive Plan to establish a roadmap for future land use decisions, infrastructure investments, and development policies for the next 20 years. This plan is shaped through an analysis of current community conditions, exploration of future options and priorities, and the development of practical strategies aimed at achieving the Town’s vision. A Comprehensive Plan is required to be rewritten every 10 years and to cover the following topic areas: population, housing, cultural resources, natural resources, resiliency, economic development, community facilities, transportation, priority investment, and land use.
The Town of Andrews is inviting the community and people in surrounding areas to participate in a public input survey focused on shaping the Town’s future. The survey, open through December 12, 2024, allows citizens to share their thoughts on essential topics, including future land use, growth, and development. Key Town Officials, including members from the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Town Council, are actively involved in guiding the plan’s creation and they want your input!
Additionally, a public drop-in meeting will be held:
Date: December 12, 2024
Time: 5:00 – 6:30 pm with a presentation to be provided at 6 pm.
Location: Andrews Recreation Center
Address: 220 S. Cedar Avenue, Andrews, SC 29510
This workshop provides a forum for the community to offer direct feedback and engage in discussions about the vision for Andrews. Community participation is vital in guiding the town's planning efforts for the years ahead.
